Contemptor Dreadnought model by Games Workshop - Painted for competition in the Adepticon 2022 Grand Tournament. I used stippling techniques to add highlights to volumes working from dark browns to bright reds. Minimal weathering was achieved by dabbing metallic paint with a torn piece of foam.
Dwarf Wizard model by Reaper Miniatures. Painted for my “introduction to painting miniatures” video. I love working with Reaper minis, their sculpts have so much character and I love the details on this little guy.
Vindicare Assassin model by Games Workshop - Painted for competition in the Adepticon 2022 Grand Tournament. This was an exercise in highlighting black. So I looked to comics! In many comics, black is highlighted with shades of blue, so I emulated that here with this model. The Assassin’s rifle I chose to paint green to create a strong point of contrast, I then added edge highlights by slowly incorporating yellow into the base tone. I was extremely happy with how this turned out!
Deadpool model by CMON Games. This model was so fun to work on! The dynamic pose, the “FWOOSH!”, all the details are so fun! The weathered red suit was achieved by stippling various red shades. The gradients on the “FWOOSH!” was done by airbrushing a bright pink onto white, then a transparent yellow over everything.
